Assassin’s Creed III for PC won’t release alongside its console versions of the game on October 31.

According to reports from Eurogamer, the PC version of the game will launch on November 23, 2012. Ubisoft has the habit of doing this with more than one game in the franchise already, so don’t be surprised if this turns out to be true.

This delay report of PC version comes from a promotional image (below) sent by anonymous source from Ubisoft to Eurogamer.

Rumor: Assassin’s Creed III PC Delayed 1

This could be a PC delay across all countries, or it could just be for select European countries, but given the nature of the PC version’s lack of coverage it’s impossible to know. The last we heard about Assassin’s Creed III was in relation to its development favoring a controller over a keyboard.

We all know Ubisoft’s HATE for our beloved platform (PC), Assassin’s Creed Revelations took a couple of weeks after its console debut to hit PC, while Brotherhood took almost four months

Ubisoft said that “the Windows PC release date is still to be announced,” which an outright lie, to be honest. Most gamers believe these PC specific delays are the result of concern at Ubisoft over piracy, although the French publisher is yet to admit this.

Does Ubisoft tend to prioritize console releases over PC releases?
